UV-A is essential for your bird's sight. The sight decreases when your bird gets too little UV-A radiation. This affects daily activities such as recognizing food. UV-A also stimulates the appetite, breeding, and behavior of your bird.

UV-B radiation is essential for the health of your bird, it also ensures that he can make vitamin D3 and absorb calcium. Calcium is fundamental for healthy bones, feathers, and eggs.

The Back Zoo Nature Bird Sun UV lamp also emits heat, comparable to the sun's warmth.

Most indoor parrots have a UV-A and UV-B shortage, which can be easily solved with our Back Zoo Nature Bird Sun UV-Lamp. Hang the lamp above your bird's stay and make sure to light it 10 to 12 hours a day. We recommend increasing it to 15 hours a day during the breeding season.
